Video taken August, 2015 aboard the FV Donna Kathleen in Monterey Bay, Ca. near Lover's Point. Market squid egg capsules of various maturation can be seen, white are younger while darker eggs are more mature. Dark capsules in the center image show white spots along the casings, which indicate paralarvae are actively hatching out. Numerous fish and octopus can be seen around the eggs, likely feeding on hatching paralarave.
